Part of my background includes the authoring of four (4) commercially published books. My latest book is Skyscrapers of the Gilded Age and it is now available by McFarland Publishers, Inc., Jefferson, North Carolina. Various book subjects include architectural history and urban design, American history, design theory and art. As a freelance writer I have been published in newspapers and national periodicals. I also served as the architectural critic for Wisconsin’s only fine arts magazine, Art Muscle (1992-1995).
Other books that I have authored include: The American Skyscraper 1850-1940: A Celebration of Height (Branden Books, Boston, 2008); Milwaukee Architecture (Prairie Oak Press, Madison, 1995); and Look Up Milwaukee (Franklin Publishers, Milwaukee, 1979). I have also written the manuscript for the yet-unpublished Milwaukee: Preserving the Past, Building for the Future (Cherbo Publishing, Encino, California, 2003).Joey Korom
