Drumming Up Camaraderie:
The C3 Annual Event

Our closing event for 2023-24 is really going to make some noise!

Join C3ers and guests in a Drum Circle led by master drummer M. Taylor, Senior Instructor at Chicago’s Tam Tam Mandingue Djembe Academy. We’ll meet on Saturday, June 8th at 3:00 PM at the Euclid United Methodist Church, 405 S. Euclid Ave. in Oak Park.

There’s no experience necessary, and no need to B.Y.O.D.— everyone will have a dunun (bass drum) to play, and we’ll all learn rhythms, timing and hand techniques together. Group drumming is not only a music-making experience, but also a way to energize our bodies and express our personal spirits.

Afterwards, we’ll all enjoy a group dinner at nearby Khyber Pass restaurant, one of Chicago’s most authentic Indian eateries specializing in tandoor cooking. Food is included, drinks are on your own tab. And while you’re chewing on naan, kababs or samosas, we’ll also chew on what’s ahead for Chicago Creative Coalition’s upcoming year at our Annual Meeting.

The more the merrier — and louder — so plan now to attend and reserve your spot online. We look forward to seeing you there!
