As part of their  “Creative Health and Wellness” series, the Chicago Creative Coalition(C3) has created a benefit auction. The proceeds are to benefit Kathleen Kearns’ effort to beat cancer. The preview is launching on September 1, today!

Kathleen is an advocate for affordable health care; she used her creative activism and skills to make a case for the ACA. She was there for us, and now it‘s the creative community’s turn to show up for Kathleen. Artists, professionals from all disciplines, writers, painters, photographers, and artisans specializing in printmaking, ceramics, and glass have donated their artwork and services to create the “Faces of Healthcare Auction.”

While Kathleen is unique in her healthcare activism and leadership in the creative community, unfortunately, her healthcare insurance experience is far too familiar for creative professionals. They’re small businesses that often can only afford the high deductible, less than comprehensive insurance coverage. Although Kathleen is currently the featured “Face of Healthcare,” the Auction is just one part of the Chicago Creative Coalition’s “Creative Health and Wholeness” series. Chicago Creative Coalition is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to the support of creative professionals.

Besides the Auction, C3 is producing a “Creative Health and Wholeness” series of informative programs centered on the physical, mental and emotional well-being creatives need to succeed – in business and as artists.

C3 is raising awareness and funds. And you can too! Learn how health and wholeness issues affect everyone and are everyone’s business.

Right now, starting today, you too can do something about it! The proceeds of the Auction will assist with Kathleen’s unexpected, uncovered, and out-of-pocket medical expenses

Registering to bid will connect you to the upcoming “Creative Health and Wellness” series.

Send all inquiries about C3’s activities to C3@ChicagoCreative.org.
