McCormick Place Art Walk
Since 1999, Chicago Creative Coalition members have gone on an art walk in the fall to view interesting work, “share and air our aesthetic opinions in friendly company, and re-inspire and rejuvenate our creative spirits.” (Took that right out of our 1999 program description!)
One of Illinois’ largest public art collections is located where you may least expect it — the halls of McCormick Place, North America’s premier convention center. This commissioned collection of more than 120 pieces showcases the architecture and vibrant cultural life of the city and the rich diversity of Chicagoans.
Scott Winterroth, McCormick Place Marketing Manager, will lead us through this vast contemporary collection displayed throughout the South and West Buildings … so wear comfortable shoes and get ready to be inspired!
Following our walk we will adjourn to MingHin Cuisine in Chinatown to continue discussions.
