PhotoArt Fest IV

Chicago Creative Coalition is pleased to announce that PhotoArt Fest IV, our juried fine art photography exhibition, will again be on exhibition at this year’s Jeff Fest Arts & Music Festival, July 30-31, 2016 in Chicago’s Jefferson Park.

The top 50 photos as chosen by our judges will be on display, as well as the 25 top photos submitted in our K-8th grade student division!

Last year, over 1,100 Jeff Fest visitors viewed the exhibit and voted on their favorite print, and 17 of the 57 prints exhibited were sold.

PhotoArt Fest IV is open to original works of photography – all photographs must be entirely the creation of the submitting artist. The image may be created on film or by digital capture and may be enhanced or manipulated by a computer software, but a computer-generated image will not be accepted. Members of the jury and C3 PhotoArt Fest directors are not eligible.

For the Student division, photographers must be a student in Kindergarten through 8th grade for the school year ending in June, 2016.

We are excited to have the following creative professionals on the PhotoArt Fest Jury:

  • Trent Albert, professional photographer.
  • Andrew Ettenhofer, producer for Ignite Events, where he uses his 20 years in events and 15 years in sales and marketing to help clients have successful, strategic events. Prior to this role, Andrew’s creative outlets have included being a DJ, a personal chef, and a video producer.
  • Jennifer Masi, principal and creative director of Torque, and winner of over 30 design awards.
  • Michael McNicholas, photographer and painter.
  • Warren Perlstein, professional photographer with more than 45 years of experience in commercial, industrial, architectural and event photography.  He is also a photography instructor and hosts a popular monthly photography “Wine & Critique”.

  • Submissions Accepted from May 9 to June 19
  • On-line Entries Only
  • Non-Refundable Entry Fee of $40 for Open Division, covers up to 4 images
  • Non-Refundable Entry Fee of $10 for Student Division, covers up to 2 images
  • Image files: jpg in standard format, with the longest side at exactly 1200 px
  • Jpgs must be labeled as follows: yourlastname_firstname_arttitle_submissionnumber.jpg

  • June 21–24: Judging of submitted images
  • June 27: Notification to artists by e-mail
  • July 18–22: Artists deliver framed prints ready to hang
  • July 30–31: Jeff Fest
  • July 30: Presentation of awards to juried winners at Jeff Fest
  • July 31: Presentation of People’s Choice award at Jeff Fest
  • August 1–5: Artists pick up artwork

  1. I tried to upload these yesterday but could not remember my PayPal password, and does not appear like it went through, so this is my second try.

  2. I didn’t see anything in the rules about entering twice so I decided to go ahead. Please let em know if that’s a problem.

  3. Please advise when notification to artists for Photo Art Festa IV will occur.
