The Ins and Outs of WordPress
WordPress currently powers more than 74 million of the world’s websites. Why? Because it’s robust, customizable, cost-effective and easy to use — once you know how. Explore the ins and outs of building, growing and managing your WordPress website and/or blog at the Nov. 14 meeting of the Independent Writers of Chicago (IWOC) with the Wizard of WordPress, Scott Winterroth of Content Academy, in room 4F at the Gratz Center, 126 E. Chestnut / 115 E Delaware, adjacent to Fourth Presbyterian Church just west of Michigan Ave.
Winterroth has been teaching WordPress creation since 2008. His presentation will be followed by a freewheeling Q&A session in which your most pressing WordPress questions can be answered once and for all.
Networking begins at 5 p.m. and the program begins at 6. Admission is free for IWOC members and first-time attendees. Nonmembers pay $15 at the door or $10 if they preregister at http://www.iwoc.org/event-2470540.
Discounted parking is available after 5 p.m. at 900 N. Michigan garage with a validation card from the Gratz Center information desk.
Attendees are welcome to continue networking and sharing writing-related topics at a buy-your-own dinner at a nearby restaurant. For more information, call 800-804-IWOC (800-804-4962) or visit http://www.iwoc.org/.
